THe Dance experience

Working with me

I LOVE DANCE! I'm a former dancer myself so I pinky promise you we will work together to create some bomb images for your audition submissions and social media platforms. I only work on location for solo sessions, but if you're looking to book a date for your dance company I can bring my backdrop set up to you!

Solo sessions are a 1 on 1 experience where we explore your movement to the fullest. We'll start out with some improv, arm-prov, and once I see something that feels fun and organic we'll keep growing from there. Honestly- these sessions can be kind of a work out so don't forget to bring your water bottle!

For dance companies, I'll bring the fun to you! Let me know what you're thinking as far as backdrop & lighting and we will go from there. Have the dancers come in with an idea of poses and I'll take care of the rest. This is a great way to allow your dancers to have the experience of working in a professional environment and dance away with some, as Lady Gaga might describe, talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, images!

Of course, you can't be a part of the dance world without having been to a few dance recitals. I've cleaned recital pieces, been backstage, onstage, and in the audience- so I DEFINITELY know the ins & outs of recital season. I'll set each dancer up with a pose tailored to their costume/genre and photograph a group pose, all within 15minutes. (per group of course, I'm not THAT good)

"Not only does she have amazing ideas when it comes to the shots, she is always willing to collaborate and bring her client's vision to life through her lens."

"Nicole's vision, attention to detail, and care is simply everything you could ask for in a photographer. She has such a balance of collaboration and individual expression that makes working with her one of the most seamless processes I have ever experienced. There's no doubt that her experience as a dancer lends itself so flawlessly to her work behind the camera, capturing the essence of not just the art, or the subject but also the human. I would recommend her time and time again!"

Q: Do you take action shots during the show?

A.I absolutely do! Send me an invite to your recital and I will be there cheering on your students while capturing their greatness!!!

Q: What comes next?

A.You can send me an email at nicole@nehamashots.com or fill out my contact form online with all the details of your event to get the ball rolling! We'll make sure your dates are available and I'll send you a guide with details about my collections and prices.
